Hollywood Blvd – Adaptive Reuse

Kurt Fischer was a project engineer at Nabih Youssef Associates for the adaptive reuse design and construction phases of this 7 story existing concrete office building into luxury apartments in Hollywood. The retrofit if this project included a FEMA 356 evaluation and retrofit design using the City of Los Angeles Adaptive reuse ordinance.  New concrete shear walls were introduced to the building to limit the drift of the building’s existing concrete frames.
